Call for Travel Award Applications!

The Graduate Student Council and the Graduate School are pleased to announce the first quarter call for the new Travel Award, which is open to all graduate students who will be presenting their work at a conference.

The first quarter is for conferences taking place Sept. 1, 2018 through Nov. 30, 2018. Unfortunately, any travel which occurred prior to this period is no longer eligible for funding. Applications are due by Sept. 14 at 5 PM MST. Students receiving the award will be notified within 10-14 days of the deadline and funds will be transferred as quickly as possible to the home department or college of the student.

Applications must be submitted electronically through the following page: https://goo.gl/forms/6v8V2JKlbIih7pEC2

You will find frequently asked questions at the following site: http://gsc.colostate.edu/travel-award/

Funds will be awarded based on three equally weighted metrics: 1) the reason for even attendance (podium presentations versus attending for professional development, for example), 2) conference location (international versus local, for example), and 3) the student’s service to the community (committee member, volunteer, etc.). Note that paid positions such as Teaching Assistantships cannot be considered service.

If you have any questions, please contact gsctravelaward@gmail.com. Good luck!
