Dear New and Continuing Graduate Students, 

Welcome new graduate students who are joining the CSU Rams community and welcome back to those that are returning from the summer! Firstly, we would like to welcome you to the Graduate Student Council (GSC) website. Here, you will find all things related to graduate student council activities, events, and information. As GSC, we are the advocacy, social, and programming student-run organization for graduate students at CSU. We partner with the Graduate School, Student Affairs, and many more departments to raise awareness for graduate student life.  

In the past, GSC has advocated successfully for additional health insurance benefits for graduate students (e.g. dental) and providing more affordable graduate student housing. This year, we plan to continue advocating on behalf of the graduate student body for more equitable graduate stipends, provide excellent social events to build community for graduate students, increase travel grants, and much more.  

One of our most exciting initiatives is the new interior construction project for the Graduate Student Space scheduled to be completed later this fall. This center will have lounge space, study desks, and meeting space for graduate students on campus. More updates will be sent soon once we have an opening date!  

As Vigor is a distance/online student, we also understand the need to create online communities and belonging for graduate students. Our officer team is planning to implement new programming for graduate students who may not be able to come to Fort Collins regularly. If you have any ideas or feedback, please contact us.
