The GSC Professional Development & Supply Grant is intended for funding professional development opportunities (e.g., workshops, trainings, seminars, virtual or conferences held in CSU Fort Collins Campus) and supplies needed to complete research, work efficiently, or teach effectively.

During the 2023-2024 academic year, the Professional Development and Supply Grants will be provided at the following tiers:

  • Tier 1: 3 grants of $500 (per grant cycle)
  • Tier 2: 10 grants of $250 (per grant cycle)
  • Tier 3: 15 grants of $100 (per grant cycle)

Evaluation Criteria: The following will be considered when evaluating applications. There is no preference given for the type of degree or program of the applicant.

  1. Impact of the professional development opportunity and/or supply request on the applicant’s professional development, graduate work, department/program/cohort
  2. Applicant’s involvement in Graduate Student Council and the greater Colorado State University community, and
  3. Applicant’s access to additional funding sources.

How to use the grant:

Grantees will need to file for reimbursement through their home department using the account number provided by the Graduate Student Council upon notice of a successful application.

All unused funds will be returned to Graduate Student Council.

For graduate students applying for software, please review the software available to students in CSU Labs and reach out to the IT team even if at a first glance it does not seem applicable to graduate students.
