Nominate yourself or another graduate student to serve as an officer on the Graduate Student Council!

All positions are open, and most of the current officers are graduating. You can read about the current officers and find a description of the open positions here.

Why join? Current co-president Derek Newberger explains,

“I know how it feels like there is not time for any additional commitments, but I’ll let you know that the Graduate Student Council for me has been the most fulfilling experience I have had in my time at CSU. Additionally, I did not feel ready for such a commitment, but this experience has shaped me into who I am as a professional.”

The Graduate Student Council was instrumental in pushing for the Mandatory Graduate Student Fee Coverage Plan, student dental insurance, and securing and allocating $36,000 of grants this year. Additionally, GSC organized countless events, which several hundreds of graduate students attended.

We need a team to continue moving forward with initiatives like this and we need you!

New officers will be voted in during our April 2 meeting. Officers will receive a $1000 merit-based service award per semester. Please submit this nomination form by April 1 to get involved.
